How it works
Where the facts come from
Every school page shows facts from the U.S. Department of Education's Private School Universe Survey, which the National Center for Education Statistics runs every two years. Schools report their grades, number of students and teachers, religious affiliation, school day and year, and more. Each page says which school year the facts are from.
What the survey doesn't include
The survey doesn't collect tuition, admission rules, test scores or reviews, so we don't show them. Ask each school about tuition, financial aid and admissions.
How results are ordered
Searches near a place list the nearest schools first. State and town lists show larger schools first. You can sort by name or size instead. Schools can't pay to rank higher.
Something wrong?
Schools open, close, move and change. If a page is out of date, tell us and we'll look into it.
